Pyrates Royale Spring News and Notes
for release on March 32

The Pyrates Royale will be following the examples of many popular fair acts by franchising the band in diferent locations. We are forming auxiliary performing troupes for the Pacific-Northwest, and southern regions, drawing on the talented ex-members of the recently disbanded “Them Seattle Shanty Boys” and, “LeFete’s Breakfast” from the gulf coast.
This will allow us to maximize our fan base and product placement. The bands will be differentiated as The Red (original), Blue (PNW), or Green (Gulf) Pyrates Royale troupes. RPR, GPR and BPR; and will also be the primary artists featured on our online site,National Pyrate Radio, or NPR.

As you may have heard, the MDRF will be moving to the newly acquired location in Gettysburg immediately after the 2009 season. MDRF's current access difficulties should be a thing of the past. The site is just outside the battlefield park grounds on Rt.15; right across the street from the Picket’s MasterCharge Shopping Mall. The Fair will probably be getting more tour groups for this reason. There is some talk of staging battles between English Civil War and American Civil war reenactors, but this still has to be approved by park officials.
The newly renamed Southern-Pennsylvania Maryland Renaissance Festival (SPMDRF) should be a huge step forward. Many new features will be available to patrons and performers alike (paved paths, tram trolleys, buffet dining, game arcades, and for the kids... ye olde go-carte jousting); but we won’t reveal more because we don’t want to preempt official announcements from the office. In any case, we’re sure there will be lots for festival fans to get excited about!

Creative differences involving costumery have made it sadly impossible to continue our relationship with our Baton twirling duo,
Cindy Merkler and Bob Trample
As you know, they have been performing with us for the last year as “The Pyrates Royale Plus Two”.
We wish them all the best in their future endeavors as “The Ships Company Shantymen Plus Two”.

Also be sure to place your orders early for the new band pendant. This year’s offering is a stylized cannon bas relief with the words “Love Those PR Wankers” stamped into the brass balls. Quantities will be extremely limited. The order number on the website merchandise page will be: #PR-1L-FL

i love you. I am now putting on my flak jacket and hard hat to protect me from the blowback from folks who have not yet had their coffee as they rage against what they believe is "breaking news."

you are a very very very naughty man, Mr. Skivlin.

While not a coffee drinker, my not-quite-awake brain was trying to fathom some of the changes about the MDRF being mentioned. Fortunately, I stopped 1/2 way through and caught the date at the top after a re-read of the first couple of lines, looking for evidence of naughtiness.

Evil, evil man.

This is all a shameless lie. I know for a fact that the baton twirlers have signed on with Letter of Marque.

What Bob and Cindy do now is their own business; but they told us they were going with Ship's Company.
Have you ever known me to lie about an issue as important as this?

Hmm... I'd be more concerned about TWD running around poking at things with spoons than the badgers found to be poked at (*he's* the one who needs to worry about any badgers he got close enough to poke spoons at).

... now to *really* cause an interesting panic... wonder what would have happened had you announced that your most recent CD ("tAles from Davy Jones' Locker") was nearly sold out, and that pirates had made off with the master record(ings) so no more will be available, once the tAles are gone....

(tired? who me?)

I was very worried that this might be an April Fools Day joke until I rechecked the date -- March 32. Thank goodness. I like to know that I am spammin.... er, forwarding reliable information to all my Rennie and Pyrate friends on the internet.

Um, hello!--you failed to mention my tapdance solo in the middle of all songs that include the word "keg."

Gawd! It's SO hard to find good representation these days.

Ah...there's something we've been meaning to talk to you about. It's probably best if we chat before the next performance.

"The older spelling may be still seen for a time as the head office still has a fair amount of pre-printed letterhead to go through."

We still have a lot of letterhead to get through; Mr.Fairbanks having insisted that we buy in bulk to get the best price.

If you're really having trouble using up the old letterhead you could probably stitch the sheets together to make a new tent.

What did the girl rat say to the boy rat?

Let us never squeak of this again.

See, there's the problem. It sees that we have enought to keep using in the office, but not enough to make a new tent. And won't that take a lot of that scottish tape?
I hope you appreciate the self-control it takes to stop from launching into a painful, pointless series of bad puns, here. We have to make that choice...it's for ...the children...and puppies.
Let us never spork of this again.

FYI, I just saw someone on FB repeat that MDRF was moving to Gettysburg area. Which DUH! Would mean it isn't MARYLAND RF anymore.

If they're repeating it as an April Fools joke, they're three hours too early.

You're a troublemaker!
